Emirates Kenya Appoints New Country Manager
Mr. Hendrik du Preez is the new Emirates Country Manager for Kenya.
Mr. du Preez will be responsible for Emirates’ overall business in Kenya, overseeing operations and service functions for the airline’s commercial, customer and cargo operations in the market. He reports directly to Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Africa.
He has been with Emirates for over 7 years, during which time he worked in various roles in South Africa, where he was responsible for Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique before becoming Country Manager for Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and Togo in 2013.
“I am very excited to be leading Emirates’ operations in Kenya and look forward to working with our local team of dedicated and talented staff, as well as our trade partners, to ensure Emirates’ continued growth and success in the market,” he said.
Commenting on Mr. du Preez’s appointment, Mr. Abbas said, “As part of our core team, Hendrik’s diverse experience will bring different perspectives and opportunities to our market in Kenya. We wish him every success in his new role.”
