KLM Winner of the 2016 On-Time Performance Service Award
The 8th annual On-Time Performance Service Award was accorded to KLM in the Major International Airlines, Major Global Airline Network category. KLM had a rate of being 88.53% on time. The award recognizes those airlines and airports that consistently deliver on their promise to convey passengers to their destinations on time.
The award is given out by FlightStats, Inc which is part of FlightGlobal. As the leader in global flight information services, FlightStats is able to determine the finalists and winners by examining flight status and arrival data aggregated from global sources and major airline reservation systems. For the past eight years FlightStats has been recognizing airlines with their On-time Performance Services (OPS) Awards.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands. It was founded in 1919 and is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name. KLM operates scheduled passenger and cargo services to over 130 destinations.
The On-Time Performance Service Awards recognize airlines around the world that deliver the highest percentage of flights to their arrival gates within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.
