SCIFIT Launched In Kenya
SCIFIT is one of the brands under Life Fitness, the global leader in commercial fitness equipment.
SCIFIT provides commercial fitness and rehabilitation equipment for fitness and medical exercise therapy. The equipment is designed for use by individuals of all ages and abilities while meeting the needs of individuals who have cognitive, sensory or physical disabilities.
SCIFIT began in 1987 with a focus on the many people who fall outside the traditional fitness mold. These include those with low strength, low stamina, injured, paralyzed or those battling disease. SCIFIT carved a new path for exercise products and programs. Physical therapists, cardiac rehabilitation specialists, senior activity coordinators and others embraced these products. SCIFIT joined the Life Fitness Brand Family on July 8, 2015.
SCIFIT equipment offers a solution for the growing active ageing market as well as those who cannot use the usual fitness products. SCIFIT equipment can be focused on the needs of the upper body, lower body or total body movements. It has various resistances, step-through entry for wheelchair access and built in safeguards for cardiovascular training. The new brand was introduced in the Kenyan market at the MedHealth Exhibition held in Nairobi in March. Impex Solutions are the sole distributors of Life Fitness brands in East Africa working with Deacons (EA).
