Karibu Homes Wins Best Housing Development In Sub-Saharan Africa

The first ever African Property Investment (API) Awards was held on 27th August 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The internationally recognized event gave an opportunity for property developers, suppliers and owners to showcase their best projects and services from across sub-Saharan Africa.

The awards recognize innovation and outstanding achievement across the entire property industry in seven categories. Criteria for judging included infrastructure and transport access, integration into the environment, originality of the concept, financial performance and more.

Kenya’s own Karibu Homes walked away with the win for Best Housing Development in sub-Saharan Africa. They received the award for successfully delivering the first community of affordable housing in Nairobi. The first phase of the project was completed with 285 homes built and sold. Phase 2 is underway with 500 homes under construction. The development has had significant impact on the affordable housing ecosystem.

Karibu Homes is a leading Kenyan developer of mass market affordable housing with 1,000 homes currently under development.

Kudos on their win.
