4th Edition Of GMC Kenya Is Open For Registration
Global Management Challenge, GMC is the world’s largest management and strategy competition. It is a management simulation giving participants an experience of running a business. It started in Portugal in 1980 and has expanded to more than 30 countries worldwide. Kenya has thus far hosted 3 with over 700 participants taking part.
GMC is open to anyone from students at university to individuals at companies. Participants form teams of 3-5 people and register their team online. The teams are then presented with a business scenario of a manufacturing company. They have to analyse its history before strategizing on the company’s future.
They compete online before the final 8 teams compete in a one day National Final. The winning team from Kenya earns the right to compete in an International Final which will be held in Dubai, UAE in April 2018. The last two winning teams have come from Kenyatta University.
GMC Kenya is endorsed by the Association of Chattered Certified Accounts (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Companies can sponsor the competition as well as partner with GMC to mentor student teams, recruit or contribute to events. The GMC can be an alternative platform for recruitment for companies.
Teams can register online at the GMC Kenya website. The deadline for registration is October 13th 2017.
