Oxford University Press Wins Big At 20th International Book Fair
The 20th International Book Fair was held from 27th September to 1st October 2017 at the Sarit Centre. The fair was organized by Kenyan publishers and brought together writers, authors, script writers, owners of publishing houses, publishers, teachers and students from Kenya and the region.
The theme for the fair was ‘Unity Through Books’. Oxford University Press East Africa’s General Manager, Mr. John Mwazemba stated, “As a nation, we have pledged the highest form of brotherhood and good fellowship with all people. We need to make this pledge a reality, and what better way to do it than through books,’’
During the five-day event, Oxford University Press East Africa unveiled a series of books in line with the curriculum needs. These books are expected to propel the country to a middle level, knowledge driven economy. ‘’The books we publish are not just learning tools but they seek to address the challenges facing our society today,” added Mr. Mwazemba.
Oxford University Press East Africa bagged four awards at the Fair for Best Overall Stand, Best Stand Theme Interpretation, Best Stand Personnel and Corporate Branding and Best Stand Design.
