Dayliff Unveil Sunlite Solar Kits
This October, Davis & Shirtliff (D&S) will launch portable solar powered products for domestic lighting, entertainment and education use, device lighting and safety including mosquito protection.
Positioned under the company’s Africa-centric Dayliff brand; the Sunlite range will be made available through the D&S network of 60 branches in the region and will be supported with spares, warranty and sizing expertise from the company’s headquarters in Nairobi’s industrial area.
The range of products will take advantage of Kenya’s geographical location and will be powered by a source of renewable free energy that is inexhaustible and sustainable: solar.
Products on offer include the Dayliff Sunlite range of lanterns, security lights and reading lights starting from as little as Shs 680/- with warranty. There is also a solar lantern which innovatively doubles as a mosquito repellent and includes a lamp and phone charger, with a solar panel retailing for Shs 3,800/-. The panel recharges the device thus eliminating the need for sprays and one-time use mosquito tablets.
The SunSystem range, which incorporates a solar panel with a selection of batteries and lights start from Shs 3,200 to Shs 7,800/- per unit depending on size and is ideal for homes in counties that are remote and off-grid.
Because of their portability and charging capability for radios and cell phones, the entire range is suitable for outdoor pursuits as well as game lodges and camps.
The Dayliff brand has over 1,000 products for water and solar solutions, and will be rolling out other new products in the coming months. The Sunlite Sun Kits will be available from the company’s branches and stockists from November.
