Azuri Technologies Successful Partner Model For Strong PayGo Growth
Azuri Technologies is a leading commercial provider of PayGo solar home systems to rural off-grid communities. Azuri is leveraging solar and mobile technology to allow users in 12 different countries to access renewable, distributed power on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Azuri Technologies announced that its unique distribution approach using local partners has made it one of the fastest growing PayGo solar companies in Kenya. With over KSH 2.5 Billion invested to date, including KSH 500 million from Azuri’s partners, the company has sold over 130,000 solar home systems in total.
Azuri works with distribution partners Raj Ushanga House and Mobicom to reach even the remotest off-grid consumer. The company has increased its reach from 16 counties last year to now being present in all 47 counties nationwide, including in Mobicom’s extensive network of 93 retail outlets.
Not only are Azuri’s products improving the lives of off-grid consumers, the partners are also creating significant high quality rural employment with their growing networks of in-field agents, sales, marketing, logistics, customer care and technical staff. Over 2,000 new staff have been trained so far, with half being women.
In addition to distribution partners, Azuri works closely with leading commercial financial service providers including Equitel, Safaricom and APA Insurance.
The company offers a portfolio of leading UK-designed products from its Quad lighting solution to the Azuri TV product that combines a 24” TV with 58 channels of integrated satellite content from Zuku, all on an affordable Pay-as-you-Go basis.
Simon Bransfield-Garth, Azuri CEO explained: “The commitment of our partners has been crucial to our success. With them, we are able to recruit the best agents, find new customers, and provide the highest quality on-going customer service to ensure delighted customers every day.”
