Coca-Cola Sole Beverage Sponsor For The Kenya Open Golf Tourney
Coca-Cola Central, East and West Africa franchise has been named as the sole beverage sponsor for the 50th edition of the Barclays Kenya Open Golf tournament.
Through its premium water brand Keringet, Coca-Cola will provide beverages for professional and amateur golfers, as well as the hundreds of golf fans expected to attend the tournament taking place at Muthaiga Golf Club’s par 71 golf course.
Speaking during the handover of the Kshs 3.5 million sponsorship to the Kenya Open kitty, Coca-Cola’s Marketing and Asset’s Manager- Central East and West Africa, Andrew Alovi said, “We are proud to once again be part of this prestigious tournament that marks the beginning of the European Tour Golf tournament. Marking the Golden Jubilee celebration is especially significant because it is testimony of the great value Kenya has given to golf. We are here to support and cheer the golfers by providing our beverages to quench their thirst as they participate in the tournament.”

This year’s Kenya Open is one of the most lucrative tours in the European tour qualifier after raising its prize fund to Sh62.5m (Euros 500,000) to mark the 50th edition of the prestigious tournament. It is also one of the longest-running African events on the European circuit, attracting some of the best golf players from all over the world.
The tournament has played a huge role in showcasing the country to the international community and marketing Kenya as the golf tourism destination of choice.
