MOMBASA: THE HEART OF THE KENYAN COAST

To be honest, I am not a huge fan of large, busy, noisy and stressful cities. Probably it is because I grew up in Limuru, a small town in a rural part of Kenya, so when I visit a city I always love to find places within that reminds me of the peaceful countryside. Mombasa, the heart of the coastal region of Kenya and the 2nd largest city after the capital Nairobi, luckily has plenty of chilled places. Life is going slow here, people are laid back and the weather is always hot, often too hot to handle. The breezes and the water from the Indian Ocean help to cool down, just a little bit because the wind can feel hot and the water is warm all year round.
