Artcaffé Group is pleased to announce the opening of its 29th outlet, Artcaffé Coffee & Bakery at the Kitengela Mall in Kitengela.
The 130-seater establishment marks yet another opening for the Group for 2019; having also opened on Mombasa Road earlier this year with two outlets. The Kitengela branch also marks the prominent chain’s first foray into the outskirts of the Capital City.
Kitengela, one of the top ten fastest growing towns in Kenya, has become an attractive hub with its burgeoning middle class and manufacturing industry. Artcaffé will become a social hub for the local area and its environs, appealing to Kenyans in search of a cosmopolitan experience. Known for its warm, vibrant and value-for-money dining experience, the chain will offer a full-service bakery, coffee shop, bar and modern casual dining restaurant.
Betty Musyoki, Head of Real Estate at Artcaffé Group commented “The opening of Artcaffé Coffee & Bakery in Kitengela is an exciting step for us as we look to bring the Artcaffé experience to more Kenyans. Our emphasis is to be in strategic locations that are a hub of economic and social activity. As one of the faster expanding towns, Kitengela represents a growing economy and flourishing middle class; we look forward to being a part of this community as well as positively impacting local growth”.
The Group has multiple new locations in the pipeline scheduled for opening in 2019. This continued expansion serves to further strengthen Artcaffé’s position as a large equal opportunity employer, taxpayer and promoter of the local supply chain, all of which positively impacts the economy.
Artcaffé Group’s family of 1,385 dedicated and passionate staff is expected to grow by an additional 400 people over the next four months across the new outlets. The Group’s ethos of developing and harnessing talent from within has been one of the critical success factors to its sustained and consistent growth. The majority of the current Management team has been with the company for more than eight years. Many of them started out in junior positions such as waiters and sous chefs, now holding key positions in logistics, operations and service.
