Residents of Embakasi and its environs are set to benefit from Hospital Macerator Equipment donated to Embakasi Health Centre in Nairobi County by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Kenya.
The hospital equipment, worth over Kshs. 1.4 million, will help to improve and aid access to quality healthcare, through minimizing the handling of waste, while simultaneously maximizing its safe removal from the health facility. The investment is part of CCBA’s broader Sustainability agenda to create greater shared opportunity for the communities it serves.
“Access to quality healthcare is still a challenge in many parts of this country. We therefore anticipate that this macerator equipment will help to support operations here and provide the needed resource that this facility lacked,” stated Susan Maingi, Public Affairs and Communications Director at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa aims to support initiatives and programmes in communities in which it operates.
“Opportunity is about more than just money, it’s about a better future for people and their communities everywhere on the African continent. When we grow our business the right way, not just the easy way, we help create opportunity for our communities, our customers, our employees and our shareholders,” she added.
Embakasi Health Centre is a Level 3 hospital managed by the Nairobi county government.
