Global on-demand courier service company Glovo, which links motorcycle riders to consumers wishing to buy and deliver products, has partnered with News Cafe in a move aimed at expanding their market footprint in the country. The firm, which uses an app to enable its deliveries has partnered with the South African franchise to enable it to cater to varied clients.

Speaking during the partnership announcement, William Benthall, Glovo General Manager for Kenya, said that the move will benefit News Cafe’s customers through enhancing the efficiency of service delivery while also positioning Glovo as a trusted delivery partner to use.

“We are proud of this partnership and we look forward to delivering News Cafe products to our consumers spread across Nairobi. We know how niche the News Cafe customer is and it is a great pleasure for us to be able to offer our services to this particular market segment,” said Benthall.

“Our desire to be the top-of-mind delivery app necessitated our entry into this partnership and we look forward to enabling our new consumer base access News Cafe products from wherever they are in Nairobi. We believe that this partnership will help us achieve our broader strategy of being a one-stop-shop for all our customer’s needs and deliveries,” he added.
