BrighterMonday offers value-addition to jobseekers
Brighter Monday, Kenya’s premier online job advertising platform has introduced innovative tools that make the experience and journey to employment more interactive and informative.
Under a new job seeker sign up drive dubbed #SeizeYourNextOpportunity, the platform is giving relevant value-addition tools to prospective job seekers.
“Brighter Monday has made the journey to employment an interactive and informative process, through tools such as job alerts, CV writing services, interview preparation templates as well as the BrighterMonday Career Centre where job seekers can receive consistent and insightful career tips on how to position themselves in the job market,” BrighterMonday’s Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Mutuma said.
This is in addition to hundreds of courses and free personality tests available on the platform for jobseekers. Mutuma said the platform has a rich network of over one million job seekers and 30,000 employers.
An average of 30,000 job seekers apply for entry level positions whenever a vacancy is advertised with a huge number also seeking middle and top level management opportunities.
“Up to 50 percent career profile completion unlocks notifications about employers who have interacted with your profile, whereas 80 percent completion allows the user to download a professionally done Curriculum Vitae. At 100 percent, users are able to boost their profiles, making them stand out to employers” he said about the value-added tools.
BrighterMonday is used by top companies in Kenya and the continent to hire experienced workforce and have successfully placed highly qualified candidates who also get to know the companies interested in looking at their profiles.
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics estimates that around 1.7 million people have lost their jobs since March this year, mainly due to the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
